Organisation of Football in Fiji

The organisation of football in Fiji is structured across several levels, allowing clubs to progress or regress based on their performance. This structure spans from professional football to amateur football.

At the top of the hierarchy is the Fiji Premier League, which is the highest level of Fijian football. It comprises 8 clubs that compete for the title of Fiji's champion. The poorly ranked clubs at the end of the season are relegated to the Senior League, which also includes 8 clubs. The well-ranked clubs in the Senior League are promoted to the Premier League.

The Senior League, the second level of Fijian football, is divided into two divisions: the Northern Division and the Southern Division. The well-ranked clubs in these divisions can be promoted to the Premier League, while the poorly ranked clubs can be relegated to the Inter-District Championship Second Division.

The Inter-District Championship Second Division, the third level of Fijian football, is also divided into two divisions: the Northern Division and the Southern Division. The well-ranked clubs in these divisions can be promoted to the Senior League.

Beyond the Inter-District Championship Second Division, the system continues with local and regional divisions, highlighting the depth and richness of Fijian football at all levels of competition.
