Organisation of Football in Bosnia & Herzegovina

The organisation of football in Bosnia & Herzegovina is based on a hierarchical league system, allowing clubs to ascend or descend in level based on their performance. This system is divided into several tiers, ranging from professional football to amateur football.

At the pinnacle of the hierarchy is the Premijer Liga, which is the highest level of football in Bosnia & Herzegovina. It comprises 12 clubs vying for the title of Bosnia & Herzegovina champion. The bottom two clubs in the standings at the end of the season are relegated to the Prva Liga, which is divided into two regional divisions: Prva Liga RS and Prva Liga FBiH.

The Prva Liga is the second tier of football in Bosnia & Herzegovina. It includes 16 clubs for each regional division. The champions of each division are promoted to the Premijer Liga, while the bottom clubs are relegated to the Druga Liga.

The Druga Liga is the third tier of football in Bosnia & Herzegovina. It is divided into several regional groups. The champions of each group are promoted to the Prva Liga, while the bottom clubs are relegated to the lower leagues.
