Organisation of Football in Aruba

The organisation of football in Aruba is structured around a single league system, allowing clubs to compete for the national championship title. This structure consists of a single tier, encompassing the top clubs on the island.

At the pinnacle of the hierarchy is the Division di Honor, which is the highest level of football in Aruba. It comprises 10 clubs vying for the Aruba championship title. The clubs in the Division di Honor play a total of 18 matches during the regular season, and the top four teams qualify for the playoffs to determine the national champion.

Due to the small size of the island and the limited number of clubs, there is no relegation and promotion system as found in other countries. However, football in Aruba is constantly evolving, and changes to the organisation of football may be implemented in the future.

Despite its small size, Aruba has a national team that participates in international competitions of CONCACAF and FIFA. The Aruba national team has repeatedly participated in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, although it has never managed to qualify for the final tournament.
